YCAT is thrilled to congratulate guitarist and YCAT Anniversary Artist, Samrat Majumder, on his selection as a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist for 2026 - 2028.

This prestigious scheme supports some of the most exciting young musicians at the start of their international careers, giving them the chance to perform at major UK venues and festivals and to work regularly with the BBC orchestras, with broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 reaching audiences across the UK and Europe via the European Broadcasting Union.

Samrat’s inclusion marks another milestone in his rapidly rising career, following his recent successes as a Classic FM Rising Star and Borletti-Buitoni Fellowship recipient.
